An anonymous reader requested this Miller Time commercial through our request form. We are curious about you, anonymous reader, because this is a spot that is only airing in Ireland. Does that mean we have an Irish reader? Woo hoo! It’s nice to see that What Song is in that Commercial? is going international. I can imagine it now…some day I will be managing writers across the globe. I’m talking Argentina. I’m talking Japan. I’m talking Tuvalu. Did I just find that country by Googling “most obscure countries in the world”? Maybe, but it doesn’t matter. We’re growing, baby.
Okay, back to reality. The commercial is pretty basic. It shows a city lighting up in a very Miller-y shade of gold. (Is the city Dublin? I can’t figure it out. Please comment if you know.) Interspersed between city shots are images of a tall glass of beer being poured at a bar. All the while, a hip-hop song plays. It turns out Macklemore is an up-and-coming Irish-American hip-hopper who is actually not heard in the spot though this is technically his song. Ryan Lewis is the producer and Ray Dalton sings. If they’re lucky, Miller will play this spot in the US, too. We’re rooting for you, lads!
