This Adidas commercial features hip-hop artist B.o.B. (which stands for “Bob,” the name) spitting some rhymes with cut-in shots of him looking at shoes in a Champs Sports store, posing in Adidas at a photo shoot, and then rapping on stage. The ad is for “adicolor,” an Adidas line that only runs at Champs. The lyrics are taken from a song called “Epic,” although they are not in the same order in the original song.
Here are the lyrics in the commercial:
You know who it is without a doubt or hesitation
If money talks, I got my masters in communications
But I don’t punt it, I run it for a hundred
Ever since I was a young ‘un, been hungry as Paul Bunyon
I’m the shit so fix the plumbing
I’ma beast and the game’s you
And if this ain’t what you call hip-hop it must be bungee jumping
East side on my arm, three stripes on my sneakers
and even if they’re slippers, they better be Adidas
The “three stripes on my sneakers” line is actually in the original song. What follows it in the song, however, is “Don’t roll with pussy niggas, we call them vajeenas,” rather than “An even if they’re slippers, they better be Adidas.” Nice swap out, B.o.B and Adidas!
The original B.o.B song is called “Epic” and features Playboy Tre and Meek Mill. Download it on iTunes here:
