It’s not often that I get excited about real estate commercials (adult things scare me), but this Coldwell Banker commercial hits at a lovely place. Vignettes of kids, sleepovers, puppies being petted, forts and baking make up this commercial… really all things I love. Apparently I need to have a kid or be a kid because we seem to enjoy the same activities.
The song used in this commercial is Home by Phillip Phillips and he is all over the commercial scene. I won’t go too into detail about him because we have previously written about commercials that use his music here and here. Apparently any commercial that wants to push family and home is using this song. And I can definitely see why. It’s lovely. It’s comforting. It’s curling up in a blanket and watching some movie on Netflix (too dated?) with your dad while your mom bakes cookies and constantly asks questions about what’s going on and then the dog climbs up on the couch to lay down with you and keeps farting in your face and somewhere your cat is puking. That’s the magical things that come with home to me. Thanks for telling me you believe Mr. Narrator. Speaking of Mr. Narrator, someone on YouTube wants to know if that’s Tom Selleck… and I would like to know the same thing, anyone have any guesses? Is this what the Three Men and a Baby star has been up to? Or is he just sitting somewhere growing an awesome mustache while this gentleman steals his voice a la Ursula in The Little Mermaid?
Also, am I the only one who always thinks this song is by Mumford & Sons?
