Even Nerds is getting into the dubstep game! If you didn’t guess by the “Nerds” lyrics in the track, this Nerds dubstep commercial song is custom-made for the spot. The track is called “Nerd Up” and it was created by DJ/Producer Amp Live, better known as half of the hip-hop duo Zion I. Its fun, quirky sound fits nicely with the commercial and product. We’re not sure who provided the vocals, but as the track speeds up near the end, it reminds us a bit of rapper Busdriver, who happened to have a guest spot on rapper Eligh & Amp Live’s project Therapy At 3 (caution–lyrics not nearly as family-friendly as “Nerd Up”!). But it’s hard to tell with the vocal effects and not much rhyming/flow to go by. Either way, pretty cool candy spot!
