It’s funny that a reader requested (via our Request form) this ShoeDazzle commercial song (you can read my previous ShoeDazzle post here)because I have spent the last two days discussing shoes with anyone that will listen. Granted I have been talking athletic sneakers, but still, shoes are shoes right? Wrong. Did you guys know just how many different types of athletic shoes are out there? I have taken up short distance running and cross-train 5-7 days a week and I have no clue what type of shoes I am supposed to be wearing to protect my poor little knees from the harsh realities of the world. Multiple experts have directed me to Fleet Feet, which is where I will most likely end up, much to my chagrin as I have a $10 coupon for DSW burning a hole through my purse. I have also discovered the benefits of shopping at Nordstrom and have been informed that they might replace my Hunter boots because they have holes in them even though I bought them three or four years ago. I guess there are some benefits to spending a lot of money on an item instead of buying cheap.
And that brings us back to do, oh, oh, oh… or ShoeDazzle. This spot has a bunch of ladies in a grocery store except the items for sale are all shoes. I kind of dig that the shoes are all color coordinated. I guess that’s the slight OCD nerd in me, but it just looks pretty. The ladies themselves are sporting some completely nonfunctional heels, but beauty doesn’t always mean function right gals? The music in this spot is Problem by Natalia Kills. Ms. Kills is an English singer-songwriter-actor- rapper (what’s up with the Brits and their lady rappers? Is there something in the water?) who got her acting start at the ripe age of 9 and began writing music at 14. She has been featuring on screen and musically in many TV shows and movies. If she has achieved this kind of success already in her life, then I believe little lady is completely living up to her last name thus far and is killing it.
Dripping down your chest
Thinking ‘bout your tattooed knuckles
On my thigh boy boy boy
I’m your dream girl
This is real love
But you know what they say about me…
That girl is a problem
