Song: Custom – Not available for download
Artist: Alex Goose
Yes! Target (or should I say Mono, Target’s ad agency) gets back to their The Everyday Collection roots with this one. By that I mean in “Bake Sale” shit is getting wild again and food is blowing up all over the place.
Just take a look at that screen capture! I don’t know how difficult it would be to recreate colorful powder shooting out of cake mix boxes, but I’m suddenly eager to do just that. It’s just cool. And so is breaking an egg in your hand and not even caring what sort of mess it makes. How cool does a mom need to be to do that?
The music complements the badass vibe perfectly. It’s a modernized version of the 1970s funk, rock, disco-type of song that would be on the soundtrack to a Blaxploitation film. Can’t you imagine this Alex Goose track playing as one of Quentin Tarantino’s female leads strides purposefully toward someone she’s about to murder with ease?
Unfortunately, because this Target commercial song is custom, it’s not available for download. I’ve linked to Alex Goose’s general iTunes instead so you can check out his other tracks.
The breathy voice at the end of this spot says, “Dominate that PTA bake sale.”
